# Magic Lupa

> Magic Lupa is a price-finder platform that combines real-time store comparison, validated coupons, cashback platforms and shipping/tax calculation into a single verified result per search. Free for consumers, no affiliate commission bias. Live in Argentina, Spain and the United States, expanding to Portugal and Japan, with localized currency, stores, and tax rules.

Magic Lupa was created and is operated by Agustín Fornas. It is independent and does not receive commission from the stores it recommends. The recommendation algorithm is based solely on the lowest verified total cost to the user including shipping and taxes.

## How a result is generated

Every result is the output of a single Anthropic Claude Haiku 4.5 call that uses web search to verify store URLs, coupon validity, cashback availability and shipping cost in real time. The model provides only precio_final, precio_envio and the structured enums (tiempo_entrega, precio_envio_nota); precio_pvp, precio_producto, ahorro and ahorro_porcentaje are derived server-side from a destination-page HTML scrape plus Google Shopping baseline, so the model cannot inflate the "before" price to fake bigger discounts. Cashback never reduces precio_final — it accrues 30-90 days after purchase in a separate account and surfaces only as a step the user can execute. Results are cached for 24 hours against an SKU-normalized key.

## Verified data points

The platform tracks aggregated, k-anonymized signals:
- Search volume per category per country
- Real "achievable" prices (post-coupon, post-cashback, with shipping/tax)
- Conversion rate from intent → click to store
- Time-series of prices for popular SKUs
- Quality feedback per result (Sí/No vote, per cache key)

## Operating principles

- One verified result per search. No long lists of stores.
- No affiliate commission. The recommended store does not pay to be recommended.
- Verification before recommendation: store must have visible fiscal data, return policy, and Trustpilot ≥3/5 or equivalent.
- Honest "no result" when verification fails — preferable to a fabricated answer.
- K-anonymization k≥50 on every public aggregate.
- No personal data sold, ever. The B2B product is statistical only.
